Stephan Hansen did not disappoint the record crowds in Copenhagen at the 2015 World Archery Championships

Danish team member and Carbon Express Pro Staffer Stephan Hansen did not disappoint the record crowds in Copenhagen at the 2015 World Archery Championships on his quest for a Senior World Tile.

Hansen began the Championships by winning the Bronze with the Danish compound men’s team during the morning session on Saturday in downtown Copenhagen. He only missed the 10-ring once in eight arrows in that match giving the crowed a little taste of what was to come in the individual event later that afternoon.

During the elimination rounds of the men’s individual event Hansen faced previous World Champion Mike Schloesser beating Mike in a shoot-off.

For the final round Stephan faced one of the most consistent archers on the international circuit Rajat Chauhan of India.

The match started with each archer shooting 29 out of 30 points in the first two ends for a tie at 58-58. With the pressure of the record crowd watching Hansen shot three 10’s for a perfect end of 30, while Rajat showed his only weakness during the match, shooting an 8 for a finial end score of 28.

With just three shots out of the 10-ring for the entire match Hansen was crowned with the Senior World Title with a final score: 147-143. This gold medal adds to an amazing junior career with three youth world titles in a row – the latest title came in June in Yankton South Dakota.

Hansen relied on his Carbon Express Nano Pro 450’s to win all of his world titles.

Additionally the Bronze medal match saw Carbon Express professional Adam Ravenscroft of Great Britain’s wining the Bronze medal over Colombia’s Camilo Cardona.  This was Adam’s first appearance in a world championships medal match winning the bronze with his Nano Pro 450’s.

The Men’s Compound Team Event saw additional Carbon Express Pro staffers performing well with their Nano Pro Series arrow.  The Danish team of Martin Damsbo, Stephan Hansen, and Patrick Laursen secured the Bronze medal while Christopher Perkins was able to use his Nano Pro’s to help the Canadian team to a Silver medal.

The Mixed Team events also had Dominique Genet of France taking the Silver medal.

For the Recurve Men’s Team event the Italian team included two members Carbon Express Pro Staff with both Maruro Nespoli and Michele Frangilli using their Nano Pro Extremes to win a Silver medal.

Congratulation to the outstanding performance shown by the Carbon Express team in Copenhagen at the 2015 World Archery Championships and the outstanding performance delivered by the Nano Pro Series arrows.
