Bedford, MA (Fall 2014) – Thermacell, makers of hunters’ and outdoorsmen’s favorite area mosquito repellent, is now available in Realtree APC, a pink camouflage pattern.

APC offers superb concealment in the spring, summer and early fall when mosquitoes are at their worst and when Thermacell is needed the most. The pink coloration to the background of the pattern does not detract from the effectiveness of the unit as deer and turkey are color blind. The patented Thermacell system creates a 15 x 15 ft zone of protection that is up to 98% effective against mosquitoes and other biting insects**.  Realtree manufactures some of the most realistic and recognized camouflage patterns on the market.  The Thermacell unit operates on a single butane cartridge, which heats a mat releasing allethrin, a synthetic copy of a natural insect repellent created by the chrysanthemum flower.  Each mat contains enough repellent for four hours of protection, and each butane cartridge will effectively operate the unit for 12 hours.

Thermacell_Appliance_pinkrealtreeThe Pink Realtree APC Thermacell repellers have a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $29.99.  The Thermacell unit measures 7.5” long and 1.5” thick, and is 3” wide at the top, 1.5” at the bottom.   It weighs a mere 6.4 ounces with a full butane cartridge.
