Jason’s Shooting Tips: Easy Arrow Removal

Jason’s Shooting Tips: Easy Arrow Removal

Have you ever had issues pulling your arrows out of targets? How about cleaning off that pesky target residue on your arrows after you remove them from those 3D targets? Well, I have a couple of ideas to help you remove your arrows and clean off your arrows easier with products you may already have at home. These little ideas won’t cost an arm or leg and usually most people have these items lying around the house.

1. Use AmorAll wipes to wipe the first 6-8 inches of your arrow. Your arrow will come right out the target like a hot knife through butter. You may need to reapply after a period of time, but it takes less than 10 seconds to do and will make your arrow removal a breeze.

2. Any type of Furniture polish will do just as well as AmorAll. I like the wipes the best since it is easier to use and you don’t have to worry about over-spray or carrying an aerosol can around with you.

Easy Arrow Cleaner:

1. Scotch-Bright pads are awesome when cleaning off your arrows especially after retrieving them from your target or the dirt. These can be kept in your pocket or in your hip-quiver, ready for immediate use.

2. Magic Erasers are another great product to remove target residue or even dirt from your arrows. These are not as portable as Scotch-Brite’s but they do the job quite well.

I hope these ideas make a difference and help you on your next outing at the range. If you know of anymore ideas like these, please share them on our Facebook or Twitter page! I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
