Runnings is a retail chain in MinnesotaMontanaNorth DakotaSouth DakotaNew York and New Hampshire. The stores sell farm supplies and parts, livestock equipment, hunting and fishing equipment, small appliances, housewares, automotive goods, plumbing, electrical, apparel, hardware, lawn and garden supplies, paint, pet supplies, sporting goods, and tools. The company is based in Marshall, Minnesota and its stores are affiliates of Do It Best Hardware and Mid-States Distributing.

Runnings started as an Automotive Supply Store established in 1947, Proprietor Norman A. “Red” Running, located at 422 W. Main St., Marshall, Minnesota.

Currently Runnings operates 39 retail stores. Runnings has converted some old Kmart and big-box stores in Minnesota into fleet and farm stores. On April 7, 2015, the chain opened up a new store in Claremont, New Hampshire inside a former Lowe’s building that closed in 2012.

When it comes to understanding the movement and logic of the urban whitetail and waterfowl, he is more than just a Ph.D. with a love of the outdoors. He is a self-proclaimed expert who loves to engage and teach others about the sport he loves so very much. Spending over 125 days a year in the big city woods and urban waterways chasing all types of game.
